Founder & Creative Director
JOSHUA COLLINS
In 2017, Josh founded The Digital Butler, a marketing agency in Hillsborough, NC, which has created and implemented strategies for hundreds of brand launches, startups, small businesses, and artists. He’s produced content that’s been featured in INDY Week and live-streams that have reached global audiences. Additionally, Josh has been awarded for his music and event photography, and has had photos highlighted in numerous publications and magazines.
Josh serves as Chair of the Board of Directors for the Hillsborough Arts Council, which has helped ingrain him in the arts and music scene in the Triangle. Each year, the HAC puts on a free-for-the-community festival that draws 8-10,000 individuals out to see notable artists such as Samantha Fish, The Wood Brothers and Anders Osbourne.
Josh grew up in Hillsborough earning All-American honors in wrestling and a D1 scholarship to NC State for wrestling. After his time at NC State, Josh went on to work as a software designer and project manager, executing projects domestically and abroad for the US and foreign governments - which brought him to Dubai, Trinidad and Kuwait. Throughout his childhood and his early twenties, drawing and making art was a therapeutic outlet for Josh, and he eventually decided to make creativity his career by launching The Digital Butler and Sonark Media.
He quickly found that his experience in sports and software design served him well in his creative work. Always a team player and a great collaborator, Josh’s creative contributions are innovative and original. But most importantly, he’s able to achieve at the highest level under pressure and bring those creative ideas to fruition.
